EfN - Dragon Ref, Part 2 by *Ud-the-Imp:iconUd-the-Imp:

Armor:
Two piece; the chest armor completely covers the neck, top portion of the chest, and shoulders; shoulder pads spherical shaped.  The rest of the armor is below waist, consisting of metallic “shorts”; his limbs and midriff are exposed.  The armor is covered in many arcane and ancient symbols in bright orange paint (no funny stuff, like smiley faces and stuff)

Physical Abilities:
Has expert knowledge of many various types of fighting styles and techniques in both armed and unarmed combat gained from instinctual hereditary knowledge hardwired into his genetics from ancestors, learning from various masters from across the universe, and his own invented style.  To most, it would look like that the Dragon may be fighting out of entirely at random.  This is somewhat true, but it is mostly skill.

A Dragon’s tail is prehensile, capable of lifting object and items, as well as surprisingly strong.  Due to his culture strong warrior tradition, the Dragons consider their tails to be an unfair advantage on the battlefield and thus letting them grow out is considered taboo, some individuals and family lines going as far as completely cutting them off.  Dragons that go out to explore for new world to further expand the Republic, though are allowed some lee way in keeping their tails, still have some objection towards growing out their tails TOO long, and thus bring along the special dagger to shave off the tip if it did grow too long for their liking.  This Dragon is no different.  He prefers his tail to be long enough just to surprise opponents if the moment calls for it but none longer.  Because of this he has to shave his tail every couple of days as dragon tails regenerate over time.
Despite his lanky appearance, the Dragon is VERY strong, able to lift the equivalent of a double deck bus filled to capacity with relative ease.  Although this type of strength is considered weak to non-Wind tribe Dragons, this level of strength is still rather impressive.

The Dragon is very durable, taking large amounts of damage that would kill most humans.  Due to his being a member of the Wind tribe however, his durability is not as strong as dragons from the other tribes.  For example, he can be hit by a large tree smacking him like a club and not even be fazed by it while that same tree hitting him at a force similar to a F5 tornado would be like hitting a normal human with a really strong right hook.  Also because of their tough skin, most forms of metal will bend or break if forcefully put in contact with them.  Thus, dragons are like mountain:  They can take a lot of punishment, but will topple if worn down enough and/or hit with something that can cause high enough power.

The Wind tribesmen are the fastest of all dragons, their running speed well over 250 miles per hour under their own power.  They are also the only ones capable of sustained flight under their own power since are the also the only ones with wings, their flight speed capable of reaching 400 mph.  When boosted by their elemental abilities, their ground speed doubles to 500 mph, and their flight speed increases to just over Mach 1, though using their elemental abilities in this manner tends to drain them of energy rather quickly.  Coming from an honor based culture, the Dragon will only take to the air if the opponent is also capable of flight and/or requires himself to fly to be at equal footing (i.e. a very fast opponent, a very strong one, or one that is HUGE).  The flight capabilities will vary on whatever he is carrying.  The previous stated speeds occur if he is only carrying with him his standard equipment and weaponry, as well as possessing great skills and grace in the air, able to pull off various stunts with immense ease.  These capabilities tend to decrease if he is carrying any added weight.  The heavier the object, the less maneuverable and slower he is in the air, as well ground speed.  In fact, Wind dragons are the only dragons that suffer this phenomenon.

Mental Abilities:
Dragons have an innate ability to tell whether or not an individual is good or evil.  The exact workings of this ability, or even whether it is psychic or magical, is unknown even to them, and thus does not even have a proper name.  This ability has allowed them to judge the character of everyone they meet and was the main component of the formation of their Galactic Republic.  Their general mood towards someone is dependent on this ability as well, a dragon being more pleasant towards those who are good and less so and more wary towards less honorable individuals.  They can tell the ENTIRE character of someone just by standing next to them and act according, for example they make friends easily with thieves and con artists if their MOs and/or their personalities are inherently good, but towards a psychotic murder that is pleasant and nice as a façade, those types of people would have a geyser of blood instead of their head between their shoulders before they can respond to the Dragon’s greeting.  Contrary to belief, this ability does not have emotions as base on how good or evil an individual is.  This means snarky and/or easily angered individuals but are inherently good or neutral will not set off the ability.

Dragons are often trained at a young age to control the negative response of this ability after the formation of the Republic as a way to strengthen relations with other races.  The only thing that can cloud this ability is exposure to celestial energy:  Areas and beings of demonic aura tend to amplify negative reactions, while holy and heavenly auras nullify negative emotions and even mask the ability.

If a dragon is in the presence of something or someone that is truly, inexplicable EVIL, they go into a raging bloodlust called “The Righteous Fury.”  This berserker state lasts until the source is eliminated through any means necessary and/or until enough “evil” individuals are slain.  The only things spared are sentient beings who are “good” according to the dragon’s ability, which includes most civilians.  Everything else, though is either obliterated and/or actively sought out for destruction, and can lead to many casualties anyway to the sheer amount of resulting collateral damage.  Many dragons that learn to control their ability go through this phase at least once in their training, most dragons ONLY going through it once.
